Spiritual Dreams!!
Author: Shaila D Touchton
The Lord uses dreams for a variety of purposes. Spiritual dreams are God's sole prerogative, so we must always be ready. When they do come we need to quickly record them and then begin to pray for the interpretation.
Things Above
Attention Worship Leaders: On September 27, 2009 at 10:00 Central Standard Time all Christians throughout the world will be encouraged to sing “How Great Thou Art” and Amazing Grace as a testimony to Christians unity, as a witness to the world, and as an opportunity to honor with one voice, our awesome, loving Savior. Although we look forward to the day when we will sing to Jesus Christ our words of adoration, along with our brothers and sisters in Christ and all the heavenly host, With One Voice will offer us “a glimpse of eternity” to praise Him now! The Path
by Kathie Fracaro
Away was the name of the cabin we rented but more appropriately it should have been named Really Away. Renting a cabin in the Smoky Mountains of Tennessee is like a box of chocolates-you never know what you are going to get or more importantly you never know what the road leading to the cabin is going to be like. When I describe the road to Away, I use the word “road” very loosely. The nearest description I could come to a “road” while still staying in the context of a passageway, would be a path. Other words that would be termed “used loosely” to describe the path would be “smooth, finished or safe.”
Bible Study - The Numbers
Many of you, dear readers, are interested in Bible studies and devotionals. A Bible study on numbers and their spiritual significance can carry throughout other studies you will do in your life. Check out BibleStudy.org. You can find a thorough overview on the meaning of numbers. Most of you know that 1 means unity. But did you know that 12 means governmental perfection? It is used throughout both the Old and New Testaments. The twelve tribes of Israel, the twelve apostles, etc.
The number 8 is significant in its referral to resurrection or regeneration. From BibleStudy.org:
Resurrection is the great truth which is signified. Christ rose from the dead on "the first day of the week," that was of necessity the eighth day. And it is remarkable that the Bible contains the record of
Eight individual Resurrections
(other than the Lord and the saints):
3 in the Old Testament
3 in the Gospels
2 in Acts 9 and 20
Organization Inspiration
Humor from The Dumb Little Man Website
I was looking for inspiration to clean and organize my office and found this humorous (but too true to life) list of ways to ensure you'll have a clutter filled and discouraging office to work in. My favorite is Number 8:
Clutter Your Desk
Once you’ve been in your workplace for a while, you should have built up a nice collection of papers, folders, staplers, pens, notebooks and so on. Make sure these are all over your desk, in as disorganized a manner as possible. Never file anything. Challenge yourself to have an inbox piled so high that the mound of paper reaches the ceiling. Constant clutter will make you feel ill at ease in your workplace, even when you’re not actively rummaging through it for that vital letter from a client.
